standards require students to use technology in all core subject areas for
presentations of their work. Technology has a definite place in today's
educational process. It will increase students' interest and provide them a unique method to be directly involved in their learning, and
classroom activities."

Richard Boyd, Mathematics Teacher
Richmond Heights Middle School, Miami, Florida
"To impact more of our
children, we must have committed parents. I believe that the mimio would
give us the necessary tools to provide our parents with a real snapshot of
their childrens' performance."

Meg Denton, Occupational Therapist
Rhode Island School for the Deaf, Providence, Rhode Island
"As an occupational therapist in a school for the deaf, I am constantly
challenged with finding creative solutions for students who are not
performing up to their potential. A mimio whiteboard in the classroom
would be an incredible tool for the students to review information, to see
the progression of the information and to be able to print it out and
bring it home instead of worrying to get it down on paper."

Peggy Bergman, Teacher for Visually Impaired Students
Parkview High School, Lilburn, Georgia
"My goal would be that each teacher would begin posting the mimio files to
their individual web sites so that all students, visually impaired and
non-disabled, would have complete access to complete daily notes. It would
be an exciting change to have a device that would be as useful for the
entire population as it is for my students. Rather than being special and
different, the VI students would be using something that everybody uses; and
all involved would benefit."

Lisa Adams, Math Instructor
Newbury Park High School, Newbury Park, California
"Four years ago, we were awarded the grant to become a digital high school.
As a member of our technology committee and in the forefront of using
technology, I'm always looking for ways in which the use of technology could
enhance learning. I was very excited to learn about mimio. I think it can
be a great tool to enhance learning by maximizing accessibility and by
saving time for the students and myself."

Warren Rieutort-Louis, Student
The British School In The Netherlands, Voorschoten, Netherlands
"So many new paths are
opened with new technologies like the mimio whiteboard. This technology
would fascinate many students through its interactivity and apparent ease of
use. The ever-increasing use of laptops in our schools would also benefit
from this, enabling the teacher to 'interact with the whiteboard', rather
than crowding crowds of eager-to-learn students around one computer, in a
innovative but futile attempt to catch their interest in a potentially
fascinating piece of software. Thank you for bringing this wealth of education to us."

Susan Stuef, Teacher
United Oaks Elementary, Hazel Park, Michigan
"Paper & pencil, chalk & board, markers & overhead
projector are not as visually interesting to today's high tech students. With the addition of a mimio Electronic Whiteboard, students in my classroom
would receive more engaging lessons and discussions. What an excellent learning tool that would be used in all subject
areas for many years!"

Derrick Apple, Student
Gordonsville High School, Gordonsville, Tennessee
"My sister and I have an eye disease called Stargardts. Our desk are about ten feet from our
white board but we still have to use a monocular to read the notes on
the board. Science class is ninety-nine percent note taking. Sometimes I
just listen to the teacher and take notes and not go with the notes on
the board. Then the teacher has to provide those notes for me to
compare with to be sure that I have eveything I need. The mimio would be
great in this class but not only just for me. The teacher could benefit
a lot too."

Clare Prout, Trainer
Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, Cornwall, United Kingdom
"I currently work as a trainer within the NHS delivering a range of topics
...all of which can be pretty dry subjects. Due to the
geographical nature of the area in which I live, I have to be able to
deliver these subjects in a wide variety of settings and locations. So the
delivery system needs to be both user friendly and very portable. Fairly recently I was
introduced to mimio as part of a course facilitating the skills for
interactive whiteboard use. To say that this has opened up so many
possibilities for me would be an understatement of some significance! Goodbye chalk and
talk, hello mimio!"
