National Library of Virtual Manipulatives
This site from Utah State University is dedicated to helping students understand mathematics using virtual manipulatives - visual objects that help illustrate mathematical relationships and applications. This site is also available in Spanish. (K-12)

The Math Forum
This site is one of the leading online resources for improving math learning, teaching and communication. It offers a wealth of problems, puzzles, online mentoring, research, professional development and collaborations. It includes Ask Dr. Math for tutorials, Math Tools and a Teacher-to-Teacher forum. (K-12).

Cool Math
This interactive site includes math and science lessons, math problems, math helper/tutorial, math games and an interactive math dictionary. It is geared for all kids, ages 13-100! (5-12)

Explore Learning
This subscription-based site offers a virtual catalog of over 400 modular, interactive simulations in math and science. These simulations, called "Gizmos" are fun and easy to use. They are correlated to state standards and support a variety of learning styles. (6-12)

Fun Brain
This kid-friendly site includes math, reading and social studies interactive games, blogs for kids, parents and teachers. Connect to TeacherVision.com, a subscription-based site with over 12,000 grade level specific lessons printables and resources. (K-8)

The National Constitution Center
The Constitution shapes and affects our lives every day. This interactive site provides information on the creation of the Constitution and the US Government. It has updates on constitutional issues, includes discussion forums and activities to test students understanding of the most important document in history. (K-12)

National Geographic Society
Find a wealth of photographs, magazine articles, current events, explorations, games, activities and a great interactive atlas and primary sources. Connect to "Go West Across America with Lewis and Clark" to team up with Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery for the expedition of a lifetime. (5-12)

The Discovery Channel

Lawrence Hall of Science Kids Corner
This fun site features online and off line science and math challenges for kids. Users can design a fish, explore dinosaurs, find out how much they know about cats and more cool stuff. (K-8)

Extreme Science
This site is the place online to find the biggest, baddest and the best in the world of extremes and learn about the science behind them. Students will find world records in all the sciences. The site also includes suggested links to the best sites in science education. (3-12)

Brain Pop
This subscription-based site includes movies that cover a wide range of topics including health, science and technology. Each movie includes an interactive quiz about the topic. Students love the animated characters who deliver the content. (K-12)

Ology
This site for kids by the American Museum of Natural History is a great resource for interactive science learning. Students can access games, activities and fun facts about archaeology, astronomy, biodiversity, marine biology, paleontology and physical science. Teachers can visit the Educators section for PDF guides with tips for using the site's resources. (K-12)

NASA Science Education Resource Directory
This site provides space science lessons for use in classrooms, science museums, and planetariums. Teachers can search topics by grade level, topic or curriculum. (K-12)
Reading

Book Pals - Storyline Online
This site, sponsored by the Screen Actors Guild presents an online streaming video program featuring SAG members reading children's books aloud. Each book includes accompanying activities and lesson plans. Students will love the books and recognize the famous readers. (K-6)

Word of the Day
Hosted by the NY Times and Merriam's Webster Dictionary, Word of the Day provides a special word of the day and references its uses in a NY times article. Students learn the new word and learn about their world at the same time. (5-12)

Starfall Learn to Read
Designed for the emergent reader, this website has interactive books and rhyming word family games that teach phonetic awareness, comprehension, vocabulary building and spelling skills. Free, supplemental materials can be downloaded or ordered online. (PreK-1)

Read-Write-Think
This site, sponsored by the International Reading Association and the National Council of English Teachers provides access to the highest quality practices and resources in reading and language arts and instruction. (K-8)

International Reading Association
