mimio’s beginnings
While he was a computer science graduate teaching assistant, Yonald Chery observed a problem in his classes at MIT. Students were more focused on copying whiteboard notes than on understanding the concepts behind them. Chery and his colleagues - William Moyne, Manuel Perez, Matthew Verminski, Andrew Kelley, and Michael Dixon - developed a portable device that attached to any whiteboard, connected to a computer, and digitally stored everything that was written or drawn. The mimio Interactive prototype was born.
