Mel Jackson General Manager
mjackson@mimio.com
Mel has played an instrumental role in developing mimio's corporate strategy and product development. Mel joined mimio in 1998 as vice president of product development, with 15 years of experience in engineering and product management. From 2001 his management responsibilities expanded to embrace Finance and overall Operations.
Previously, Mel was the director of product management at Number Nine Visual Technology Corporation, where he oversaw all aspects of product management and technical marketing. Under his direction, Number Nine's products received high ranks from all major PC publications, including an MVP award from PC Computing. Before that, Mel served as product manager at VideoLogic in Kings Langley, England, where he successfully developed and introduced the company's award-winning product line of PC graphics and multimedia boards. Mel also spent ten years with IBM Corporation in a number of engineering, product development, and advisory roles.
Mel received his B.S. in Pure and Applied Physics from Nottingham University

Jaemes Shanley Director of Sales

20 years of international marketing, sales, and business management
experience preceded Jaemes joining mimio in July 1999. Since
that time he has been involved in building Distribution and OEM
relationships in Asia, Latin America and the US.
For nine years prior to joining mimio, Jaemes was responsible for
establishing and managing Nippon Polaroid's digital products business in
Japan. He played an instrumental role in that company's growth and
success, by leading initiatives to leverage subsidiary resources to
import and distribute third-party software and computer peripheral
products under the name of Polaroid Computing.
Jaemes has extensive knowledge and experience in cross-cultural contract
negotiation, and in directing localization processes, product strategy,
positioning and packaging, and marketing program support.

William (Bill) Brinkman National Sales Manager
Bill is responsible for sales activities throughout
North America. Previously, Bill served as Director of Sales for
Hitachi Ltd's Display Group, a world leader in CRT technology.
During his tenure Bill was responsible for the development and
growth of Hitachi's North American sales channel. His background
also includes various senior sales management positions at
Thomson, ATI and HJ Heinz. Bill holds a BA in Communications
from Eastern College, St. Davids, PA.

Geoff Jackman Sales Director, mimio

Based in the UK, Geoff Jackman's 20 years experience in advertising
agency account management (from major brand Account Manager to Board
Director) led to involvement in IT products distribution with a variety
of datacomms companies including British Telecom and Boston based Zoom Telephonics.
Joining mimio in early 2000 with responsibility for developing the
company's UK mimio business, Geoff also established mimio's UK
based European distribution facility, warehousing and customer
support operation based near Reading. His early recognition
of Interactive Whiteboard technology adoption trends in British
classrooms led to major changes in mimio product development and
marketing strategy from 2002. In 2003 Geoff assumed Marketing and
Sales responsibility for the rest of Europe, as well as the Middle East
and Africa.

Manuel Perez Director of SW Engineering

Manuel's technical background and expertise in software have been instrumental in
the development of the company's flagship product, mimio. With a team of fellow MIT
graduate students, Manuel entered the prestigious MIT $50,000 Entrepreneurship
Competition sponsored by the Sloan School of Management. Their entry was awarded the
second-place prize of $10,000 and mimio was born. Manuel holds a B.S. and M.S.
in Computer Science from MIT.

William Moyne Director of HW Engineering
William is a key architect for the first and second
generation hardware technology used in all mimio
products. He is co-author of the patents that
protect this technology. William was part of the MIT
Entrepreneurship Competition along with Manuel Perez
and is a founder of mimio. William holds a BS
in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Michigan and an MS and Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering from MIT.
